We think it is important for children to be able to participate in worship and in the life of the church with their families. Families are invited to attend workshops, meals, social events and retreats together with their church family.
All of our worship, study and fellowship opportunities at Dilworth Church follow the liturgical year, the cycle of the life of Jesus. During the year we offer workshops that help families focus on the liturgical season and to help bring the church into the life of the home. We have family workshops during Advent, Lent, and Palm Sunday.back to top
Wonderful Wednesdays is an intergenerational event on Wednesday nights from September to April. We eat a fabulous meal prepared by the Charlotte Community Culinary School and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries of our participants. There is a play area for children and lots of time to visit for adults. We meet in the Fellowship Hall from 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm. Cost for the meals are $6.50 for adults, $4.50 for children (10 and under) with a family limit of $25.00.back to top
On the third weekend in February, families and friends of the congregation travel to the beautiful YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly for a weekend of Bible study, good food, play time, somemores (a tasty treat of roasted marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers,) music, worship and fellowship. We stay in a Family Lodge with each family housed in their own room. It’s a special weekend for all ages!back to top
