The Well: A Place for Connection, Compassion, and Community

A vision rooted in who we are, and who we are called to serve.

At Dilworth United Methodist Church, we have always been a place that looks outward, seeking to serve, include, and uplift those who are too often overlooked. The Well is the next expression of that calling.

This new space will transform our historic Terry Chapel into something both deeply meaningful and beautifully functional: an intimate, welcoming environment designed for authentic human connection.

This reimagined space will be somewhere stories are shared, creativity is nurtured, and community is built–across generations and across differences.

Why The Well?

A well is a place people return to, again and again, for what they need. It's a place of gathering, of sustenance, of conversation and connection.

We believe this space can be just that–a place where:

  • relationships are formed and deepened
  • compassion is lived out in real, tangible ways
  • the arts create pathways to confidence, healing, and belonging

From youth programs to community partnerships to moments of quiet reflection, The Well will serve as a shared space for connection that extends far beyond our walls.

What Makes This Possible

Connection: An intimate, human-scale space designed to bring people closer, both to to one another and to God.

Compassion: A flexible environment that allows us to serve overlooked and underserved communities in deeper, more meaningful ways.

Community: A hub for gathering, storytelling, and the performing arts–creating opportunities for partnership, creativity, and shared experience.
