Worship is the main focus in the life of Dilworth Church. We praise God, learn how the Word of God is relevant in our lives and connect with one another each Sunday as we come together in two different styles of worship services – the 11 am traditional service and the 9 am Loft service. (Please note due to Covid-19 we are doing one 10 am service.)
ALL people are welcome to worship and be a part of Dilworth. Whether you prefer the laid back, alternative style or traditional worship, come as who you are, for our doors are open to you. Both services are family-friendly and both services offer Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. Whatever service you choose, we know that you will experience the grace of Jesus Christ.
TRADITIONAL 11AM SERVICE
Our classic traditional style worship is held in our sanctuary.
The beauty of our sanctuary provides a place of serenity where one encounters the Holy, whether through the distinct sounds of the pipe organ, baby grand piano, a talented chancel choir or preaching of the Word.
If you prefer the traditional, more liturgical worship then this is the service for you. It may be traditional but it is still welcoming and filled with God’s spirited grace.
THE LOFT 9AM SERVICE
The Loft is our alternative, eclectic style worship held in our Langford Hall. If you enjoy a band that plays a wide range of styles along with good preaching and fellowship in a laid-back relaxed atmosphere, then this service is for you. Come a little early or stay a little late to fellowship over some good coffee.
- Dilworth UMC is always looking for help from those with musical talents! At this time, our Chancel Choir and Loft Band are working together to lead us in worship during our blended 10 am service. Whether you are interested in traditional and classical or contemporary and alternative worship music, please contact Roxanne Holt-Watson and Mark Larson for more information about leading our congregation in worship through the gift of music.
- Handbell Choir: Katie McCraw oversees our Handbell Choir AND Ensemble who perform for both worship services throughout the year. They practice each Sunday at 5:30 pm and Katie will be glad to talk with you about it.
